With members of the community, along with staff from many city departments, safety audits provide an opportunity to evaluate spaces from the standpoint of women, children and other vulnerable groups. Things we will look for: people's attitudes and behaviours, lighting, signage, sightlines, isolation, maintenance, and accessibility.
